Thornhill to Host Special Olympics Tournament

THORNHILL TO HOST SPECIAL OLYMPICS TOURNAMENT

The Olympic Games may be taking place thousands of kilometres away, but there’s a spirit of sportsmanship being celebrated right in our own backyard: On Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Holy Trinity School in Thornhill, Special Olympics Ontario is teaming up with Four Corners Youth Sport Competitions to host a basketball tournament for York Region high school students with intellectual disabilities. The event promises to inspire, as over 100 students compete in a series of three-on-three games with the goal of advancing to the Championships in the spring.
