WinterFest: Canada’s Wonderland Must Attend Holiday Event!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year … especially if you have Canada’s Wonderland’s latest seasonal attraction, WinterFest, on your holiday checklist! City Life had the pleasure of experiencing Vaughan’s most bright and sparkly allure of the season ahead of opening night, and we still can hardly believe the magic experienced was real!

With millions of lights delicately wrapped along each and every shrub and tree, not one peak or pillar was left untouched by the magic of Christmas! As soon as you enter the grounds, visitors are instantly transported to a realm of joy and cheer, filled with festive characters, carols singing and glistening lights to greet each and every face in the park. Grab a toasty hot chocolate and bask in the beauty of twinkling lights as a sense of community pride lights up each face with inspiration and wonder. With endless magic to experience, the park welcomes guests all night long for skating on International Street, walks through light tunnels, more than 20 operating rides, dozens of holiday shows and so many holly-jolly treats to share! Wander through eight uniquely themed areas, each graced with Christmas magic and sparkle to bring an immersive experience to all members of the family. New this year, guests can cozy up by the fireplace at the park’s latest attraction, Lazy Bear Lodge. Here visitors can taste festive meals of Christmas past and present as they slowly sip on a Warm Snickerdoodle Cookie Cider (alcoholic) or enjoy a more familiar flavour with a Gourmet Hot Chocolate (non-alcoholic).

There’s no arguing that, as Canadians, we are experts in braving the cold. That being said a little break from the frosty air never hurts. WinterFest, in its now third year, has introduced a new way to unwind and stay toasty — inside Jack Frost’s NEW Igloo Village. Designed to both keep the family comfy and continually immersed in the magic of it all, the igloos are clear and spacious to allow for pit stops to stay warm throughout the night.

The park has undergone significant changes from its regular summer season, and only the utmost praise is owed to the staff and team at the park that came together to bring something so special, like WinterFest, to life. Make sure to buy your tickets in advance to score the best deals and guarantee an evening of family fun for all! WinterFest will run on select dates, from November 18 to December 31, 2022. Thanks again to Canada’s Wonderland for having us, and we wish everyone a joyous holiday season to come.
