City of Vaughan Annual Toy Drive Begins

The fifth annual City of Vaughan Toy Drive in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish kicks off on Monday, Nov. 17, at St. Agnes of Assisi Catholic Elementary School. From 8 a.m. — 9 a.m., Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and members of city council will join students and staff of St. Agnes of Assisi and Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School, along with York Catholic District School Board representatives, to celebrate the launch of the toy drive, where citizens are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys suitable for children ages newborn to 18. For those who can’t make the launch, donations will be accepted at Vaughan community centres, libraries, fire stations and the Joint Operations Centre until Dec. 12, as well as at city hall until Dec. 17.
