Ivy Ed Learning Centres: 20 Years Of Empowering Education
IVY ED Learning Centres has helped future generations achieve their greatest potential.
Teachers are a fundamental pillar in a child’s life, and to be a student who is fortunate enough to have a dedicated educator can make a profound positive difference in their educational journey. Celebrating two decades of service, IVY ED Learning Centres has become a cornerstone of educational support in Woodbridge, Ont. Founded by Nazzareno and Laura Fiscaletti in 2004, the centre emerged from a vision rooted in personal and professional education experiences. “There was a growing need for tutoring support for students who were falling through the cracks,” Laura adds.
Owner and Education Director Nazzareno aimed to address that gap using his extensive experience as a teacher and administrator in the public school system. The Fiscalettis and the tutoring roster at IVY ED pride themselves on their unique approach to tutoring. Unlike many educational franchises, their foundation is built on a deep understanding of the curriculum and student needs. Whether it be their back-to-school program, after-school program or custom programs, their comprehensive model caters to students of all ages, from elementary to secondary, also offering university support, making IVY ED a versatile option for families.
“We know how to educate,” Nazzareno asserts. “Parents are looking for professional support. They’re looking for someone who knows the education system and who knows how to plan to move forward to help their child. Our goal is to implement teachings that the student will use for the rest of their lives.”
Director of Operations Laura highlights their commitment to a nurturing environment. “We aimed to create a versatile teaching staff. There are not that many places that can do the elementary teachings from J.K., for example, teaching a child how to read yet be able to teach Grade 12 physics and chemistry,” she says. This approach is further enhanced by their small teacher to student ratio and personalized learning plans, ensuring that each student receives the attention they deserve.
The Fiscalettis are particularly proud of the long-lasting relationships they have cultivated with families over the past two decades. “We have students that have been with us from grade one through to university,” Nazzareno points out. That’s a testament to the profound impact IVY ED has had on the legacy of families. “We’re in the business of changing lives,” Laura adds.
As they look toward the future, the couple remains inspired by the “aha” moments they witness from their students daily. With a reputation for excellence and a mission to adapt and grow, IVY ED Learning Centres stands poised to continue making a difference for many years to come.
