Waves of Changes for Autism Applauds Successful Annual Fundraiser

Vaughan organization makes big waves in support of local families raising children on the spectrum.

An incredible night for an incredible cause, Waves of Changes for Autism hosted their 2nd Annual Gala Fundraiser at Venetian Banquet & Hospitality Centre in Vaughan on September 28, raising an impressive $190,000. Scores of guests attended in support of the non-profit organization that was created to assist families financially with the cost of specialized treatments and programs associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Waves of Changes was started by Ellen Contardi and Loredana Presutto who share a connection to a mutual friend that had been dealing with the struggles of raising a child with ASD for several years. Noticing a lack of support readily available or affordable, Contardi and Presutto were not only inspired to help their friend, but other families who struggle with ASD. The duo has worked tirelessly to ensure their organization is able to cater to a growing community with many families in need.

With the help of the loyal supporters, many wonderful sponsors and the Vaughan community, the organization has grown exponentially in such a short amount of time. Waves of Changes for Autism expresses its gratitude to everyone who has supported the initiative, noting that each and every sponsor, donor and participant has greatly impacted the lives of children with ASD and their families beyond imagination.

The Waves of Changes team is looking forward to seeing you at the 3rd Annual Gala and many more fundraising events to come.
