Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua presents cheque to Mackenzie Health Foundation
On Dec. 13, 2013, Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua presented a cheque for $1 million to the Mackenzie Health Foundation. The generous proceeds from the Mayor’s Gala and Golf Tournament will be put forth to support the Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital set to be built at Major Mackenzie Dr. and Jane St.
As the community grows, so must its services. The future Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital has been in the works since 2009 and will continue through to its opening in 2019. The new hospital is one of Mackenzie Health’s new initiatives ‘to create a world-class health care experience,’ as it also continues to enhance existing services at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.
