As Ital Florist celebrates half a century, the core team reflects on its journey, aspirations and heartfelt gratitude to the community that has supported them along the way.
We have seen businesses come and go over time, and we have witnessed changing trends. We have also seen many businesses lose sight of their vision and values in the pursuit of competition. Yet there are still a few that stand the test of time while staying true to their core values — and Ital Florist is a perfect example.
The result is a business that continues to get better with age, building a legacy that now spans 50 years. And the secret to being successful for so long? As Italo Paris, owner- operator, says, “We show up every single day.”
Eligio Paris, who founded the business in 1976, not only passed the business on to his family, but also passed down the Italian work ethic, determination and relentless drive that have been deeply woven into the business through his children, Italo Paris and Ester Mauro, and now his grandson, Eligius Paris.
Eligius adds, “We stick to what we do best, and if we do that, then we are going to continue on the trajectory that we have been on for 50 years.”
From weddings and corporate events to celebrations, private functions and milestone occasions, Ital Florist offers flowers for every occasion and serves clients throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Over five decades, the team has built a reputation for bringing creativity, care and exceptional service to every event.
“Our commitment is not simply to create beautiful flowers, but to create meaningful experiences,” says Ester.
When asked about the challenges faced throughout the years, Ester recalls the impact of COVID-19 as a defining moment that taught the team to adapt, remain resilient, and prioritize what was necessary for the business to succeed.
Whether it is responding to changing client expectations, adapting to new technology or navigating an increasingly digital world, the team believes that every challenge presents an opportunity.
“Every business has its challenges; what you do with those challenges is what makes the difference,” Ester explains.
As Ital Florist celebrates 50 years, the Paris family looks back with immense gratitude to the community that has supported them throughout the decades. They have always believed that being a florist is about much more than flowers; it is about being there for people when they need you.
