BOOMERANG HEALTH
The Hospital for Sick Children recently launched Boomerang Health, marking a milestone in quality health-care accessibility in Vaughan. The autonomous and interdisciplinary centre provides a range of quality services that are often not readily available, explains general manager Timothy Jones. Occupational therapy, orthopedic and sports physiotherapy, and speech language pathology are but some of the much-needed treatments available for both children and adolescents. “There’s been a growing demand for pediatric specialty services in the community,” says Mary Jo Haddad, president and chief executive officer at the Hospital for Sick Children. “This is a wonderful opportunity to partner in a community, to bring the expertise and the quality of services that SickKids is known for to Vaughan.” www.boomeranghealth.com
