The biopic, WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story, premiered on November 4 on The Roku Channel.

The original film is now available for free for all Roku users. This new Roku Original Comedy stars Daniel Radcliffe and is produced by Funny Or Die and Tango and covers the life and career of Grammy-winning musician “Weird Al” Yankovic.

WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story is a biopic that doesn’t hold back! You will see parts of every facet of Yankovic’s life including his impressive rise to fame, celebrity love affairs and infamous lifestyle. 

“Weird Al” Yankovic is an accomplished musician, who won five Grammys. He is the best-selling comedy artist of all time, with his album Mandatory fun being the first comedy album in history to debut at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200. He is also one of three artists to have their own Top 40 hits in each of the last four decades. In 2018, his talent and impact awarded him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“Weird Al is a comic genius, and his impact on pop culture, his mastery of the music video, his award-winning music and his incredible life are a perfect fit for the talented producers at FOD,” said Henry Muñoz III, Funny Or Die, chairman and executive producer.

WEIRD: The Weird Al Yankovic Story is written by Al Yankovic and Eric Appel, who is also the director and executive producer of the film. The film is produced by Al Yankovic, Mike Farah, Joe Farrell, Whitney Hodack, Tim Headington, Lia Buman and Max Silva, with Funny Or Die’s Henry Muñoz III and Tango’s Neil Shah as executive producers. This is an all-star team that was bound to create an unforgettable film.
