The OVO colony will perform at 2150 Lake Shore Blvd. W. from May 1 to June 22, 2025, under a new mobile arena — the largest tent Cirque du Soleil has ever brought to Toronto. Prepare for an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, wonder, and show-stopping acrobatics as over 100 talented performers from 25 countries bring their characters to life. From mighty crickets bouncing off trampolines to the hypnotic spider contorting in her web, OVO redefines what live entertainment can be.

For four decades, Cirque du Soleil has been a beacon of creativity, illuminating stages around the world with breathtaking performances that blur the lines between reality and fantasy. The story behind its name is just as captivating. When it came time to give his troupe of traveling acrobats a name, Guy Laliberté, the circus’s co-founder, thought of the name “Cirque du Soleil” (literally translated as “Circus of the Sun”) while watching a sunset in Hawaii. He then researched the significance of the word “sun” in a dictionary of symbols and found it referred to youth, energy, and dynamism — words that defined the troupe perfectly. OVO is a perfect example of their dedication to creating unforgettable dynamic experiences with acrobatic acts that redefine the limits of the human body.

Don’t miss this chance to experience the magic of OVO. Let your imagination take flight and discover what makes this show truly extraordinary.
