On April 24, the Augustinian community of the Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel gathered for the 14th annual Augustinian Gala, honouring Paul Paradiso for a lifetime of leadership, faith, and dedication to Catholic education. The evening recognized more than five decades of service, shaped by the Augustinian pillars of humility, truth, community, and love.
From his early years at Chaminade College School to his role as founding Head of School at Villanova College, Paradiso’s impact has been both visionary and deeply personal. Under his guidance, Villanova evolved into more than just an academic institution, but a faith-centred community committed to forming students intellectually, spiritually, and morally.
In accepting the honour, Paradiso acknowledged the collective effort behind this legacy, crediting his family, Augustinian friars, founding families, and colleagues. Their shared commitment helped bring the vision of Villanova to life. The gala served as a celebration of individual achievement and lasting influence within the community that continues to shape generations through faith, service, and an enduring commitment to Augustinian education.
