Parente Borean LLP – Vaughan Law Firm
One of Vaughan’s most prominent law firms looks back on 25 years of successful community building.
A lot has changed since Parente Borean LLP first opened its doors in the heart of Vaughan 25 years ago. The firm has since blossomed with the expanding city, and after two and a half decades of serving the Greater Toronto Area, Parente and Gerard “Gerry” Borean are two of the most sought-after lawyers in Vaughan, recognized by Novae Res Urbis as one of the top 20 municipal law and development firms in the GTA for 2015.
Although the practice has grown from an intimate two-lawyer team to a staff of over 16, one thing hasn’t changed and never will: the fact that its founders, two best friends who met in high school, are still passionate about what they do.
“In school, we always liked to take on challenges,” says Parente. “It’s the same thing with our practice. We’re doers. And we find fulfillment in problem solving for the people of our community, both the large corporations and the individual citizens.”
Indeed, clients big and small have enjoyed the intimate boutique service of Parente Borean, which is renowned for its dynamic success rate in the areas of real estate and development, commercial leasing and corporate reorganizations (Parente’s expertise) and corporate law, wills and estates, real estate law, litigation and family law (Borean’s).
As the firm celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, Parente and Borean meditate on their past two and a half decades of evolving with, and enriching, Vaughan. As such poignant members of the city community, they have also dedicated a lot of their time to philanthropic projects, including Christmas for Kids and the charity supporting Luca Gennuso, the Vaughan toddler who survived a near drowning in 2014.
Today, as Parente and Borean reminisce their beginnings, they also look toward a future of building an even better Vaughan through honest, passionate work.
