Close to 700 guests rolled down the red carpet at the Hollywood Gala to Cure Cancer held at the Terrace Banquet Centre on Feb. 8. Presented by Vaughan in Motion, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting cancer care in our community, net proceeds of funds raised at the Tinseltown-themed party will go toward cancer equipment for the Mackenzie Richmond Hill Chemotherapy unit and a cancer facility in the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital. Costume-clad guests danced the night away, with an “OsCure” going to a Batman and Catwoman couple and William Wallace and his fair maiden. Since 1997, Vaughan in Motion has raised over $950,000 for cancer care in our community.
