#FASHIONFRIDAY: H&M releases Fall line with Supermodel Naomi Campbell
Every autumn, high street fashion label Hennes and Mauritz, best known as H&M, puts forth one of the most stunning collaborations you will see all year. Last year we saw a range of gloriously ornate pieces in collaboration with Balmain, and this year brings us Naomi Campbell. With such an expansive career, it’s no wonder the British-born model — who has walked for every major house including Versace, Dior and Chanel — was approached to collaborate with the international label.
The 47-year-old supermodel extraordinaire has partnered with H&M to serve glamour and sophistication for the ultimate in power dressing to help you show off your boss attitude and style. Together, they managed to hit every note with this glam line, pulling in androgyny with clean lines and extraordinary tailoring and juxtaposing those pieces with feminine blouses, freely mixed fuzzy knits and a dash of shiny silver with a cocktail dress.
The campaign video follows Campbell and her squad of equally glamorous girl bosses through their Tokyo nightlife escapades in a quirky and fun music video style. This fresh take on fashion shows us powerful women who are all as unique as they are beautiful. We love how much variety this range has, while still employing classic shapes that suit every body type. We can’t wait to get our hands on a few of these pieces. Ensure you’re at an H&M location on September 21 to get your own Naomi Campbell x H&M piece — we know they’ll sell out quickly.
“Tokyo is definitely one of my favourite places. For the film, I was in a dark double-breasted trouser suit and it was my favourite look from the whole collection,” says Campbell. “Personally, I would wear it exactly as it was styled — the tailored blazer was buttoned up, but you could see a little skin so it was a good balance of feminine and masculine.”
