Set to open its doors in 2020, the Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital is already receiving significant contributions from Vaughan’s prominent families. Vic De Zen of ZZEN Group and family have pledged $10 million to the new facility, the largest donation to date. The main lobby will be named the Vic De Zen Family Welcome Centre, in recognition of the incredible donation. In addition, the Sorbara family has gifted Vaughan’s new health hub with a generous $5 million. Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital will be Canada’s first hospital with fully integrated “smart” technology, maximizing information exchange and improving the patient experience.
