Del Toro’s works, from The Shape of Water to Nightmare Alley and his current project, Frankenstein, have brought global acclaim to the city’s film stages. During the ceremony, Mayor Olivia Chow presented del Toro with the Key to the City. Co-CEO Eoin Egan praised his storytelling legacy and contributions, underscoring Cinespace’s commitment to supporting artists and fostering a vibrant, world-class film community.
