Dora Di Manno – Client-First Investing At Caldwell Securities

For more than 30 years, Dora Di Manno has built a career defined not by transactions but by relationships.

Since joining Caldwell Securities Ltd. in 1992, the Vice President and Investment Advisor has witnessed seismic shifts across the financial industry, yet her passion has remained rooted in the firm’s deeply human approach. As she puts it, “I am truly part of something unique and special.”

That sense of purpose stems from Caldwell’s independent, majority family- and employee-owned structure — one that treats its people as partners rather than numbers. Throughout her career, Di Manno has been encouraged by leaders who challenged her, believed in her and pushed her beyond her comfort zone. What began as a three-year plan evolved into a 33-year journey marked by trust, opportunity and shared growth, including the rare experience of helping take the New York Stock Exchange public.

Leadership, for Di Manno, is less about hierarchy and more about care. “Leadership. It’s all about nurturing the talent, truly listening to people and believing in the people that I work with, often before they believe in themselves.” Having spent more than 18 years in operations and client services before moving into front-office sales, she carries a holistic understanding of the business — one that informs how she mentors younger advisors and collaborates across teams.

That same philosophy extends to client relationships. Caldwell’s defining feature, Di Manno explains, is its commitment to partnership and accessibility. Advisors build portfolios grounded in discipline, risk awareness and life-stage planning while remaining composed through market volatility. “We want our clients to feel heard and understood,” she says — a principle reinforced by the firm’s open-door culture and direct access to leadership and Portfolio Managers.

Looking ahead, Di Manno is energized by Caldwell’s future. Guided by the belief that “investment success is about ideas,” the firm continues to evolve with innovative opportunities while preserving its core values. For Di Manno, it’s this balance of independence, integrity and collaboration that makes the work as meaningful today as it was three decades ago.
