On May 7, 2026, more than 1,200 people attended the 31st Annual York Regional Police Appreciation Night (PAN) 2026 to celebrate the achievements of York Regional Police (YRP), its sworn-in officers and civilian staff.
To commemorate the commitment of these officers, the event featured award presentations for professionalism, bravery and community service. It also brought together the community’s leaders and citizens. The gala was tied to a philanthropic cause, with over $1.16 million raised at the event for the community’s police and victim support services.
The guest speaker was Ontario Premier Doug Ford. Fifth-grader Ella Beckett won the “Chief for a Day” award for 2026, capturing everyone’s attention with her presentation.
The event, generously sponsored by Danny Montesano, honoured the immense dedication of the officers to serving the community in the best way possible.
