For Dr. Luisa De Faveri and Dr. Lisa Federico, optometry has always been not just about eyesight — it’s about people.

The clinic has been serving the City of Vaughan since 2001 when Dr. Santone first opened the office at the current location.
Since Dr. De Faveri and Dr. Federico took leadership of Vaughan Family Eye Care clinic in 2017, it has grown into a thriving multi-doctor practice supported by a dedicated team. Their commitment to excellence and personalized service has earned them widespread recognition, including Reader’s Choice Awards in 2023 and 2024, followed by Top Choice Awards in 2025 and 2026.

Their partnership is equally grounded in a long-standing friendship that began more than two decades ago while studying optometry together at the University of Waterloo. That shared history has translated into a flawless team chemistry centred on thoughtful care. As they emphasize, “One thing that’s never changed is the patient always comes first, and no two patients are ever the same.” This is because their tailored eye care approach focuses on the patient’s lifestyle needs and goals.
