The Pierre Cardin House proudly announces the Canadian debut of the Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award, marking a significant milestone in its global search for the next generation of visionary fashion talent.

After 11 editions around the world, this prestigious international competition arrives, for the first time, in Canada, inviting final-year students from fashion and design schools aged 18 and plus across the country to showcase their creativity, innovation, and bold perspectives. The initiative reflects Pierre Cardin’s enduring commitment to nurturing young designers and celebrating cultural diversity through fashion.

After a preliminary selection based on application, a workshop with the brand’s creative team and award ceremony will be held on November 12, 2025, in the Canadian Center for Architecture in Montréal, where a jury of esteemed designers from the House, including President and Artistic Director Rodrigo Basilicati Cardin, will choose one finalist to join the Pierre Cardin studio in Paris for a three-month residency in 2026. The winner will also receive a round-trip ticket between Canada and Paris, housing, and a monthly stipend of €1000, and above all, the opportunity to work alongside the brand’s creative team in Paris.

Students are invited to submit up to three original sketches, choosing between menswear, womenswear, or childrenswear, or including one of each, that reinterpret Pierre Cardin’s iconic geometric forms and futuristic vision. Submissions will be evaluated on creativity, technical skill, sustainability, and alignment with the brand’s design codes.

Applications are open from September 1 to October 31, 2025, and must include a completed registration form, sketches, a current enrolment certificate, a portfolio, and a photo.
