Dr. Gerry Catapano and his team of oral health professionals are changing the way King City and Vaughan view dentistry. Following the well-received Woodbridge Smile Centre, which opened its doors in June 2013, Dr. Catapano has just recently brought his renowned dental care to the heart of King City. “We love King City — it’s a growing community, and we wanted to be a part of that growth,” says Dr. Catapano. “We wanted to bring the highest and latest forms of technology to patients in this area to make their experience easy and relaxed in a friendly environment.” The comfort begins in the décor: Mirroring the uber-comfortable atmosphere of the Woodbridge Smile Centre, the quaint King City Dental office is stylized to embody, as Dr. Catapano describes it, “a homey, upscale country look.”

The optimal dentistry experience continues in the dentist’s chair, where patients are treated to world-class dental services utilizing the latest technologies in the industry. From invisible braces and bonded fillings to full mouth restoration, teeth whitening and dental implants, Dr. Catapano’s team uses a high skill set to provide an array of sought-after treatments, all pillowed in a comfortable atmosphere. At both of his offices, Dr. Catapano also seeks to make his patients feel at home through special considerations for seniors and students and stress-free consultations for all patients. “We like clients to pay us a visit and see what we’re all about before they make an informed choice as to who they want as their dentist,” he says. “And we’re pretty confident they’ll feel right at home here and want to stay.”

King City Dental and Woodbridge Smile Centre are passionate about sparking smiles not only via their expertise in the dental office but through community involvement as well. This June, the two practices will team up to race a 30-person bicycle in the Becel Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart. The offices are also making environmental conscious steps, aiming to become “paperless” practices by potentially installing tablets in the near future, rather than using traditional methods of patient documentation.

“When I’m asked what sets us apart, I have difficulty answering because I think the patients should decide that for themselves,” says Dr. Catapano. “I can tell you that I’m really proud of our practice, and our patients do seem to love the experience because they’re in a beautiful setting that has a very different feel from your traditional dental office.”
